“Intercultural Dialogue as a European Project”

The Jean Monnet Project “Enhancing the Debate about Intercultural Dialogue, EU Values and Diversity” of the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia has organized the 25 hour –
Online Seminar entitled “Intercultural Dialogue as a European Project” on Monday November 16, 23 and 30, 2020 as well as December 7 and 14, 2020 from 17:00 to 21:00 Athens Time. The seminar is co-organised with the
UNESCO Chair of Intercultural Policy for an Active Citizenship and Solidarity of the University of Macedonia.

The first three sessions of the Seminar have already taken place with 295 unique users on the 16th of November,
294 unique users on the 23rd of November and 262 unique users on the 30th November.

The topics of the first session on November 16, 2020 were Intercultural Dialogue in the EU, Intercultural Dialogue as a Bridge between the EU and Russia, The Conditions of Intercultural Dialogue: Fundamental Rights, Democracy, Pluralism, Equality, and Intercultural Dialogue after COVID-19 and the George Floyd Tsunami presented by Despoina Anagnostopoulou, Associate Professor, Department of International and European Studies, University of Macedonia, Academic Coordinator, Jean Monnet Project EUVaDiS, Thessaloniki, Greece, and Iulia Sushkova, Dean, Professor, Law Faculty, Ogarev Mordovia State University, Saransk, Russia, Jean Monnet Chair holder.

The topics of the second session on November 23 were Equality, Inclusion and Non-discrimineuroation at the Workplace, Linguistic Integration of Adult Migrants, and Hate Speech, Hate Crimes, Freedom and Tolerance presented by Despoina Anagnostopoulou, Associate Professor, Department of International and European Studies, University of Macedonia, Academic Coordinator, Jean Monnet Project EUVaDiS, Thessaloniki, Greece,
