Objectives
One of Project’s objectives is to increase the interest and enhance knowledge in the field of EU studies, particularly in the field of EU values, diversity and intercultural dialogue in order to prepare citizens, future political and economic leaders, as well as opinion leaders and law makers.
It aims at the stimulation of research, reflection and dialogue in the field of European integration studies, particularly EU values, diversity and intercultural dialogue from a multidisciplinary perspective. In this respect, the following objectives shall be pursued.
Lastly, project aspires to increased cooperation between academia, research institutions, international organisations and institutions and the civil society in the EU that will enhance the capacities of professors and researchers and address society’s needs.

3day International Conference “EU Values, Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue: Enhancing the debate” on 21-23 April 2021
The Jean Monnet Project “Enhancing the Debate about Intercultural Dialogue, EU Values and Diversity- EU VaDis”, at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia, and the Hellenic Association for European Law (HAEL), in collaboration with the Center for Research on Democracy and Law, and with the support of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece, are co-organizing an e-Conference on “EU Values, Diversity and Intercultural Dialogue: Enhancing the debate”, that will take place on Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd of April, 2021, through Zoom platform.
Seminars
The Jean Monnet Project EUVadis Policy Discourses on Intercultural Dialogue, EU Values and Diversity, University of Macedonia in cooperation with the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for European Constitutionalism and Religion(s), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki organized a summer seminar from the 30th of June until the 3rd of July entitled “Challenges for European Societies”. The total duration of the above summer seminar was 27 hours.
The speakers of the seminar are distinguished University Professors, academics, experts and lawyers.
